Zepbound comes in more than one form now
Two people on the same Zepbound dose can do quite different things on shot day. The US prescribing information lists four presentations, and each one changes what is worth tracking.

The label asks prescribers to make sure you are trained on your exact presentation, and to retrain you if it changes. A switch from pens to vials is also a switch in what your record needs to show.
Vial shots, in mL or cc
With a vial, the dose is a volume. The label tells people using Zepbound vials to use a syringe that can measure a 0.5 mL or 0.6 mL dose, and a new syringe and needle every time. In the US, syringes are often marked in cc, and 1 cc is the same as 1 mL. Seeing your planned dose written as a volume right next to the milligrams, on the day you draw it up, takes one conversion out of your head.
Multi-dose vials and KwikPens have a clock too. The label says to throw them away after 30 days at room temperature, 30 days after first use, or after 4 weekly doses, even if medicine is left. Single-dose pens and vials can spend up to 21 days in total out of the fridge.
Titration steps from the label
The label starts everyone on 2.5 mg once a week for 4 weeks, then 5 mg. From there, the dose may go up in 2.5 mg steps after at least 4 weeks on the current dose, up to a maximum of 15 mg. The 2.5 mg dose is only for getting started. Your provider decides whether and when you step up, and a step change usually means new pens or vials at a new strength.
Missed shots and moving your day
If you miss a shot, the label says to take it as soon as possible within 4 days (96 hours). After more than 4 days, skip it and take the next one on your usual day. You can change your shot day as long as doses are at least 3 days (72 hours) apart. A dated record answers "how long ago was it?" without guesswork.
Weight, side effects and your supply
Whether they search for a Zepbound weight tracker app or a shot tracker, most people want the scale and the shots together, so each step has context. Side effects matter here as well. Nausea, diarrhea, vomiting and constipation are among the most common ones the label lists. Then there is supply. Pens and vials come by the carton or the vial, and running out between refills means a missed week, so a heads-up well before the last dose is worth having.
