Every 5 days, 5-on-2-off and other non-weekly injection schedules
Short answer: plenty of prescribed protocols are not weekly. Daily peptides, every-3-days TRT splits, 5-days-on-2-off patterns and every-N-days intervals all exist, and a tracker built around "pick your jab day" cannot represent them. You need per-medication schedules that support weekly, every N days and custom weekdays.
The schedules that actually exist
| Pattern | Example use | Fits a weekly tracker? |
|---|---|---|
| Once weekly | GLP-1 pens (Mounjaro, Wegovy) | Yes |
| Daily | Saxenda, some peptide protocols | Barely |
| Every 3 or 3.5 days | Common TRT split | No |
| Every 5 days | Some prescribed protocols | No |
| 5 days on, 2 days off | Sermorelin-style weekday protocols | No |
| Specific weekdays | Monday/Wednesday/Friday dosing | No |
Whatever schedule your prescriber set, the tracker's job is to represent it exactly, not to approximate it.
Why forcing it into a weekly app goes wrong
People make it "work" with workarounds: setting a weekly reminder and mentally adjusting, logging doses under the wrong day, or keeping the real schedule in their head and using the app as a diary after the fact. Every workaround erodes the two things a tracker exists for: reminders you can trust and a history that reflects reality. An every-5-days schedule drifts through the week by design; by week three your "Tuesday" reminder is two days wrong.
What to look for in a tracker
- Every-N-days intervals where the next due date rolls forward from the last dose, not from a fixed weekday
- Custom weekday patterns for on/off protocols like Monday to Friday with weekends off
- Per-medication schedules, because a second compound rarely shares the first one's rhythm
- Flexible logging, so a dose taken a day late shifts reality without breaking the record
How PepLevel handles it
Each medication in PepLevel has its own schedule: weekly, every N days, daily, set weekdays, on/off cycles or as-needed, with its own reminder times. Reminders follow the schedule you actually set, so an every-5-days protocol gets its reminder every 5 days, wherever that lands in the week, and a 5-on-2-off protocol stays silent on rest days. Log late, skip or backdate and the record simply matches what happened.
